About Compensatory Programs: "All Means All"

VISION:

The Vision for Compensatory Education is to connect students, families and the community to provide the education and support needed to overcome barriers and achieve academic and personal success.

MISSION:

The Mission of the Compensatory Education Department is to ensure that the federal education funds administered by the department contribute to the goal of all children meeting or exceeding state standards.  This mission is achieved by providing services and resources to Title 1 schools that enrich curriculum and instruction, promote interaction and coordination of supplementary services and resources, and result in excellence and high expectations for educators and students.  Through collective efforts, we strive to increase accountability for all participants in the educational process; enhance cooperation between school and home; provide educators in Title 1 schools with professional learning opportunities, and most importantly, promote increased educational performance of students attending Title 1 schools.

GOAL:

The main goal of the Compensatory Education Department is to improve and enhance the programs and services funded under the regular education program for educationally disadvantaged students by implementing best practices that will support learning for all children and eliminate the achievement gap between student subgroups.
