World Languages Program

Students in the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System have the opportunity to learn Latin, Spanish, French, Chinese and German. The instructors are all state certified and follow the guidelines established by the Georgia Department of Education. Students participate in language competitions, bilingual plays, dance and music performances, and other theme programs and events. The district policy currently requires that a student successfully complete two years of world language study in order to receive a diploma.
Johnson High School offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, a rigorous academic curriculum for 11th and 12th grade students. IB courses are recognized for college credit by many colleges and universities in the United States.
