The 15th Annual Quick-Think-A-Thon (QTAT) tournaments will be held on Thursday, April 26 and Friday, April 27 from 10:30 a.m. until noon in the gymnasium at Jenkins High School.
The Quick-Think-A-Thon (QTAT) is a safety program developed by the Exchange Club of Savannah for the Prevention of Child Abuse. The program is based on the Quick Think game, which teaches children how to make good, quick decisions about personal safety.
Each elementary school selects one student to represent their school in the tournament. The student representative answers a variety of safety related questions. A panel of judges, representing various community interests, scores each contestant’s answer.
All second graders are invited to attend the tournament and cheer for their representative.
Every student representative will receive a certificate of participation and a “goodie” bag containing a (QTAT) T-shirt and other items. Trophies are awarded to the first, second and third place winning students. In addition, the winning school will receive a plaque for display and a pizza party for all of its second grade students.
