Spencer Elementary School will be receiving new playground equipment and beautiful landscaping thanks to the generosity of Home Depot on Abercorn Ext.

Home Depot has been a dedicated business partner of Spencer Elementary School for more than six years. Mr. Tiger Belcher, Community Unity Coordinator for Home Depot has served on Spencer’s school council and worked closely with the administrators to collaborate on various projects.

Home Depot (Abercorn Ext.) will begin landscaping the school on Friday, August 17, 2007. During that time, they will also install new playground equipment for students in grade K - 2.

The goal of Home Depot is to make Spencer Elementary School a beautiful place to be.  The administrators, teachers, staff and students thank Home Depot (Abercorn Ext.) for their support, dedicated service and generous donations.  Subway, Checkers, Krispy Creme, and Bojangles will sponsor refreshments for landscaping crew.

For more information, contact Tiger Belcher, Community Unity Coordinator (Home Depot on Abercorn Ext.) at (912) 921-0158.

Note to the media: Any media wanting to obtain coverage should plan to arrive at 12 noon to see the work in progress. The principal and Home Depot representatives will be available to talk to the media.
