Mercer Middle School Re-Certified as Georgia's Lighthouse School-to-Watch

                                 Mercer Middle School

Mercer
Middle School
has recently been re-certified as a Georgia Lighthouse School to Watch, a distinction currently held by only eleven middle schools throughout the state.

The Georgia Middle School Association and the Georgia Alliance for Middle Level Excellence, in collaboration with the National Forum to Accelerate Middle Grades Reform, recognize schools that are achieving at high levels and who are committed to continuing growth and excellence. These schools must meet criteria in five categories: high academic achievement, a commitment to young adolescents, a shared vision, a positive school climate and family and community partnerships.

Mercer will be recognized at a luncheon on Tuesday, February 6 along with other Georgia Lighthouse Schools To Watch at the 30th Annual Georgia Middle School Association Conference held at the Marriott Riverfront Hotel in Savannah.

For additional information, visit the GMSA website.
