BOARD OF PUBLIC EDUCATION MEETING

The Savannah-Chatham County Board of Public Education will meet in regular session on Wednesday, January 10, 2007.  The meeting will be held in the Jessie Collier DeLoach Board Room at the Whitney Administrative Complex – Building G, 2 Laura Street.

 

All Sessions will be held at the Whitney Complex, with the schedule as follows:

 

Executive Session begins at 12:00 p.m. (Executive Sessions are closed to the public for the purpose of discussing personnel and legal matters.)

 

            Informal Session begins at 1:30 p.m.

 

            Formal (Regular) Session begins at 3:30 p.m.

 

NOTES:

 

1.       Individuals wishing to address Agenda items at Board meetings need to contact the Office of Communications at 201-5656.  Individuals should speak only on Agenda items and comments are limited to five (5) minutes.

 

2.       Citizens can request to speak to the Board on other topics if they send a request to the Board Secretary at 201-7606, one day in advance and tell what topic they wish to speak to. They are limited to five minutes and cannot disparage employees or the Board.

 

3.       Agendas are posted on the BoardDocs page of the school district’s Internet site: www.sccpss.com. Individuals should speak only on Agenda items and comments are limited to five (5) minutes.

 

4.       The Jessie Collier DeLoach Board Room will open to the public thirty minutes before the start of the Informal Session. Media crews will be able to set up after the room officially opens.
