Nine SCCPSS middle and high school students traveled to Athens, GA to compete in the 60th Annual Georgia Science and Engineering Fair. Several of the students placed in the junior and senior divisions and won special awards.

Georgia Science and Engineering Fair (GSEF) is one of a number of learning experiences that help young people meet the challenges of the future. It provides a stage from which the junior high and high school students can demonstrate their serious contributions to the advancement of society.

The student's work is judged by professional scientists, who look not only for an attractive functional presentation, but more importantly for the contribution the work has made to new information and for the basic understanding the students have of their research.
