Mrs. Patricia Holcey, sixth-grade Social Studies teacher at Bartlett Middle School, has been nominated and accepted to Who's Who Among America's Teachers for the second time.
The Who's Who Among America's Teachers nomination process is very unique. Students listed in Who's Who Among American Students, The National Dean's List and Who's Who Among American High School Students - Sports Edition, are given the opportunity to nominate a teacher who has been influential during their academic career.
Mrs. Holcey was previously recognized in 2004-2005 and appeared in the 9th Edition of Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers publication. Mrs. Holcey has been teaching for more than 25 years, 17 of which have been with the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System. At Bartlett Middle School, Mrs. Holcey wears and has worn many hats; working as the Student Support Information Advisor, a member of the school’s Student Council, the Discipline Committee Advisor, and team/grade level teacher leader.
“My personal belief is to motivate and inspire children to become successful, productive and creative individuals in society,” says Mrs. Holcey. “I feel so professionally blessed when my children (students) and their parents take the time and effort to nominate me for such a wonderful award.”
Mrs. Holcey will be featured in the 11th edition of Who's Who Among America's Teachers along with a brief biography.
