District 7 Officials to Hold Joint Town Hall Meeting September 22

For immediate release

(Savannah, GA)—Savannah-Chatham Board of Education District 7 Representative Julie Gerbsch and Chatham County Chairman Pro-Tem & District 7 Commissioner Dean Kicklighter will hold a joint town hall meeting Monday, September 22, 2008 at 6:00pm at the Pavilion at Tom Triplett Park in Pooler.

The meeting is open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend.

Commissioner Kicklighter, Representative Gerbsch and key staff members will provide updates on issues of interest to West Chatham county residents including new schools, Pre-K availability, the school district’s new accountability system, parks and recreation projects, policing, library services, and roads and drainage projects.

Citizens will have the opportunity to ask questions and comment on issues.

District 7 encompasses the county’s fastest growing area. It includes the unincorporated areas of west and southwest Chatham County, the cities of Pooler, Bloomingdale, Pt. Wentworth and portions of Garden City, and most of the newly annexed areas of Savannah.

Tom Triplett Park is located at 100 Tom Triplett Drive (off Highway 80) in Pooler.
