Seven young men from Hubert Middle School’s Risers Academy have been invited to perform with the Savannah Children’s Choir at their annual Winter Concert.

Hubert’s Risers Academy is the first program of its kind in the district. The new all-male school program began this year with an enrollment of 35 males.  The academy is designed to promote high expectations, enriching life experiences and academic camaraderie.

The young men will join the prominent community choir made up of 2nd through 8th grade children from across the city, to sing holiday classics and explore the songs and sounds that make up the winter holidays.

The annual Winter Concert entitled “Winter Memories,” will be held at the Lucas Theatre beginning at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors or groups of 10 or more, and $8 for students and children. Tickets can be purchased at the SCAD box office.
