For the third year in a row, a Savannah Arts Academy visual arts student has won the
prestigious honor of having their artwork displayed at the U.S. Capital in Washington, D.C. Stephanie Pfeiffer’s work will now be viewed by millions of people. She is one of several SCCPSS winners in the 12th District in the United States Congressional High School Juried Art Exhibition for the Georgia 1st and 12th Districts. Pfeiffer's charcoal drawing titled “M & M” will be framed and displayed later this year in the Cannon Tunnel Building at the Capital.
115 entries were accepted for the 12th Congressional District Exhibition but two SCCPSS schools swept the top spots. The winners are:

Nathan Wise - 1st Place, Johnson High
Ruth Thiele - 2nd Place, Savannah Arts
Edward Nixon - 2nd Place, Savannah Arts
Ann Nguyen - 3rd Place, Johnson High
Mary Ernst - 3rd place, Savannah Arts
