	SCCPSS Winners of Georgia National Fair Bear Creative Writing Contest Click Here For PDF Version of Press Release SCCPSS students in grades four, five, and six recently participated in the local level of the Georgia National Fair Bear Creative Writing Contest, which is sponsored by the Georgia National Fair in Perry, Georgia. Each year the creative writing competition centers on the Georgia National Fair mascot, a black bear, who roamed the woods near the fairgrounds for many years. The 2010 writing theme is "Fair Bear Saves the Day at the Circus.” We would like to congratulate the following students and their teachers for their winning stories, which will be entered in the state level competition. 4th Grade: Erich Barkey- Bloomingdale Elementary School –Barbara Caughman- Teacher 5th grade: Rayna Perry-Georgetown Elementary School-Janet Junco -Teacher 6th Grade: Raven Dean –Isle of Hope Elementary School –Rosanne MacCauley- Teacher Local districts will be notified of state winners by April 20th.
