Odyssey of the Mind Teams Excel in World Finals

(Savannah, Ga.) Once again, SCCPSS students excelled on the World Stage at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals Competition this week in College Park, MD.

Competing against more than 500
teams from around the world, Marshpoint Elementary placed 4th in the Eccentrics problem, Division I. DeRenne Middle placed 20th in the Eccentrics problem, Division II. Savannah Arts had a 6th place finish in the Eccentrics problem, Division III.  Savannah Arts had a 27th place finish in the Wonderful Muses problem, Division III and Islands Elementary placed 30th in the Wonderful Muses problem, Division I.

 

The Odyssey of the Mind World competition emphasizes creativity and teamwork. It has grown into the largest international creative problem-solving competition. In addition, it makes learning fun while giving kids the chance to explore their imaginations and express their creativity.
