SCCPSS is proud to name Krystina Hendrix, a freshman at Windsor Forest High School, as the Superintendent’s Student of the Month.
Krystina is a remarkable student in and outside of the classroom. She has successfully maintained a 96 average, and consistently shows improvement in all subject areas.
Selected for her outstanding academic performance and excellent conduct, Krystina is always a chapter ahead and always challenging herself to move forward. She’s a member of the volleyball team and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
“She is a hard worker and a quick learner. She also knows true school spirit. Krystina will be an asset to whatever school she chooses and will certainly be on the A-list for any college she visits, says her Social Studies teacher, Jan Pryor.
The daughter of Kelly and Mike DeCaire and John Hendrix, Krystina has a positive outlook on life with a bright future.
When asked what motivates her to strive for academic success, Krystina says.... “I like learning. My greatest happiness is learning new things. I try to do better than I expect myself to do.”
The Superintendent’s Student of the Month program recognizes individual students at the monthly board meetings who have excelled in the area of academics, leadership and community service. Krystina will receive a plaque award, $100 savings bond from Wachovia and special recognition from Dr. Lockamy at the board meeting on Wednesday, May 7.
