School Bus Safety Poster Contest Awards Presentation

To show their appreciation for the recent winners of a district-wide School Bus Safety Poster Contest sponsored by First Student Transportation, the bus company and SCCPSS will host an award presentation on Friday, October 24, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. on the steps of the central office building located at 208 Bull Street.

Poster contest winners in order from left to right; 2nd grader Abigail Earnshaw (Division 1: K-2 grade) of Jacob G. Smith Elementary School, 5th grader Elizabeth Taylor Roach  (Division 2: 3-5 grade) of Gould Elementary School, 8th grader Jacob Tran (Division 3: Grades 6-8) of Coastal Middle School and 4th grader Shelby Morell (Division 4: Special Needs) of Windsor Forest Elementary School.  Each student will be present (along with their parents and art teachers) to receive a $50 gift certificates from First Student Transportation.

Other district officials including members of the Superintendent’s cabinet will also be present.

All four winning posters were sent to Atlanta, GA to be judged by a state and ultimately a national committee.
