The Savannah-Chatham County Public School system (SCCPSS - Map) is one of the largest systems in the state of Georgia, with over 34,500 students in 55 facilities.

Savannah is the First City of Georgia, founded in 1733 by James Oglethorpe, and was the first-planned-city in the United States. With over 280,000 people in the county and its location on the Atlantic coast, the Savannah-Chatham Public Schools offers a wide variety of civic, religious, recreational and cultural opportunities. If you like history, the ocean, and the southern climate, then this is Where You Want to Be!
