Directions to our Office
A. Signing Bonus (GTAPP not Eligible)
Note: recipient must be recommended for hire before Monday, October. 6th to be eligible. $1,800 signing bonus (190 day contract) for fully certified Mathematics (6-12), Science (6-12), Foreign Language(p-12), Technology Ed.(6-12) or Special Education (P-12) teachers relocating (100 miles or more) to Savannah. Alternative Education Program newly hired teachers that meet the above requirement (subject area and distance) will receive $900 and they can also receive the AEP incentives below ($1,800 or Laptop and child/children enrollment choice) We offer routine processing of H1B as an alternative to these incentives.
B. Signing Bonus for Alternative Education Program (AEP) AEP sites are Alternative Learning Center, TAPP and Corporate Academies.
All Certified AEP Personnel (excluding administrators) have the choice of an $1800 Signing Bonus or A Laptop Computer.
All AEP Personnel (who live in Chatham County) will have a choice of enrolling their child/children in any SCCPS school (May exclude Academy/Magnet)
C. Educational Interpreters
Signing Bonus – $1000 signing bonus (190 day contract) for relocating expenses to qualified Education Interpreters candidates who live more that 100 miles from Savannah. Must have current Georgia Quality Assurance Screening (G-QAS) rating of Level III or higher in both interpreting and transliterating, and/or current national certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), and/or national certification from the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) Levels III, IV or V and/or a Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) rating of 3.5 or higher. EIPA rating cannot be more than 5 years old.
Salary Supplement – 10% salary supplement (190 day contract) offered to qualified Education Interpreter candidates that have current national certification from Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or current national certification from the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) Levels III, IV or V.
