Savannah Chatham County Public Schools Campus Police has always been on the cutting edge of school policing practices and technology. Here are a few examples of how we have demonstrated our commitment to our students and our community:
Campus Police Receives State Certification
Over a two year process beginning in 2001, officers in Campus Police worked to make our policies, procedures, and training practices comply with the best practices as designed by the Georgia State Law Enforcement Agency Certification Program. In April 2003, our agency was successfully assessed by a team of professionals to observe our practices and review our policies to ensure we were in compliance with all of the program's standards.
On July 22, 2003, Savannah Chatham County Public Schools Campus Police received recognition by the Georgia Chiefs of Police Association by becoming a State Certified Law Enforcement Agency. Demonstrating our continued commitment to law enforcement excellence, Campus Police became re-certified in 2008 following a second assessment.
