2010-2011 School Nutrition Program Announcements
- Free and Reduced Meal Applications must be submitted to the Central Office located: 208 Bull Street, Room 309 Savannah, Ga. 31401. The meal applications are processed centrally.
- The 2010-2011 Free and Reduced Meal Applications are currently available on the SCCPSS Website.
- Please use ONE (1) Free and Reduced Meal Application per household, the exception is for foster children. Fill out a separate meal application for each foster child.
- Please be sure to complete the entire Free and Reduced Meal Application. Incomplete applications will be returned which will cause a delay in processing.
- Please use 2010-2011 Free and Reduced Meal Application ONLY.
- If you did not submit a meal application for your child for this current school year, after October 11, 2010 please send money with your child to pay for their meals. The cost for Breakfast for Elementary & Middle Schools is $.90 cents and High School Breakfast is $1.00 and Reduced Breakfast price is $.30 and Lunch Meal Prices are: Elementary $1.85 and Secondary is $2.00 and Reduced Price for Lunch is $.40.
- Runaway, homeless and migrant students qualify for free meals. Please contact your school’s social worker for details.
- Adult meal prices are: Breakfast $1.75 and Lunch $3.00.
- Elementary schools will celebrate National School Lunch Week on October 11-15, 2010. The Theme is: “School Lunch: What’s On Your Tray?” and Heart Week in February and National Nutrition Month in March.
- Secondary schools will celebrate National Breakfast Week and National Nutrition Month in March.
- Our District has a Wellness Policy. It was approved in April, 2006 by the school board. The wellness taskforce committee will develop administrative regulations.
Prepayment Envelopes is another option for parents. We will accept cash, money orders and/or certified bank checks. The SNP does not accept personal checks.
