About School Guidance Counselors

What are School Counselors?

Professional School Counselors are certified, experienced educators with at least a master’s degree in guidance counseling. The combination of their training and experience makes them an integral part of the total educational program. Their ultimate goal is to enable students to achieve success in school and to become responsible and productive members of our society.

There are approximately ninety five professional school counselors in fifty-three educational sites in our system.
