To enroll your child in the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System, the following documents are needed for registration:
- Birth Certificate (certified copy)
- Georgia Certificate of Immunization – Form 3231
- Georgia Ear, Eye, and Dental Certificate (EED)
- Proof of Address ( one of the following items listed below)
- current mortgage statement
- current lease or rental agreement (month to month)
- current gas, electric, or water bill
- current governmental agency mail (county, state, or federal)
The following items are requested:
- Social Security Card
- Most recent Report Card (Grades 1 – 12)
- Unofficial transcript (Gr. 9-12)
Effective beginning January 2006:
When the parent/legal guardian is not the resident occupant at a given address, the following items are required for proof of address documentation:
- The Residency Affidavit must be signed and notarized by the parent/legal guardian and the residence owner. Please note that one affidavit per school is required.
AND
- The residence owner must provide ONE of the following items in the name of the residence owner:
- A current* mortgage statement
- Current* governmental agency mail (county, state, or federal)
- A current* lease or Rental agreement (month to month)
- A current* gas, water or electric bill
* Current is defined as within the previous 30 days. Cable or telephone bills are not acceptable.
