The Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools Superintendent’s Student of the Month Program will recognize and honor individual students who have excelled in the area of academics, leadership, and community service for all grade levels.

Criteria

Student of the Month should be a highly selective honor, based on a documented history of student achievement. By including elementary, middle and high school students, candidates from all grade levels will be eligible for nomination.

Students who meet criteria listed for their grade level may be nominated for Student of the Month:

Elementary Criteria:

• Students who show progress and improvement in subject areas.
• Students who show positive attitude towards classmates, learning and school.
• Students with good attendance.
• Students who participate in extracurricular activities.

Middle School Criteria:

• Students who have a cumulative GPA of 80 or higher.
• Students who show progress and improvement in subject areas.
• Students who demonstrate exemplary leadership skills
• Students who show positive attitude toward classmates, learning and school.
• Good Attendance
• Students who participate in extracurricular school activities.

High School Criteria:

• Students who have a cumulative GPA of 85 or higher.
• Students who show progress and improvement in subject areas.
• Student who make contributions to the community through service and volunteering his/her time.
• Students who demonstrate exemplary leadership skills
• Students who show positive attitude toward classmates, learning and school.
• Good Attendance
• Students who participate in extracurricular school activities.
