The Superintendent’s Student of the Month is Tatyanna James, a fifth grade student at East Broad Street Elementary School. Tatyanna was selected for her academic performance and excellent conduct.
This bright young lady is a high achieving student. She’s excelled every marking period by raising her grade point average and has made a significant increase in her assessment scores.
Tatyanna enjoys reading, playing basketball and her favorite subject is Math.
Described by her teachers as a great role model and a leader, Tatyanna is always willing to assist her peers that need extra help and consistently exhibits model behavior.
The daughter of Ayanna Molton, Tatyanna has a positive outlook on life with a bright future. She someday hopes to become a composer and a singer.
When asked what has motivated her to achieve academic success, Tatyanna said: “…I want to receive a good education and do my best in school.”
The Superintendent’s Student of the Month program recognizes individual students at the monthly board meetings who have excelled in the area of academics, leadership, conduct and community service. Tatyanna will receive a plaque award, $100 savings bond from Wachovia and special recognition from Dr. Lockamy at the board meeting on Wednesday, March 5.
