SERVOS Makes Student Registration and Verification More Convenient
The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System introduced SERVOS August of 2013. This is tool that will allow parents access to an online system for Student Verification, Specialty Program Registration, Pre-K Registration, and new Student Registration. The online system will create a convenient process for parents.
This process will allow parents to verify their child's information easier and faster than the traditional paper-based method. Wait! What if parents don’t have access to a computer? Not a problem, the paper-based method is still available and will be sent home at the beginning of the school year.
SERVOS is a secured website that allows parents to quickly review, update, and approve information in a way that will make it easier for us to obtain and maintain the most accurate and up-to-date information on their child. The forms are customized to the district, and parents will have the ability to save their updates and return to complete the process. Another great feature provided is the ability to share family information between siblings!
We are committed to help simplify the process of completing and submitting a multitude of forms for our parents and staff. As part of our District Accountability System Goal 2: To ensure fiscal responsibility and effective resource stewardship, we are always looking for solutions that will increase operational efficiencies. We are confident this new system will greatly assist us in managing and processing student information. Our existing paper-based method consisted of processing approximately 350,000 forms every year! Much effort is spent gathering, organizing, interpreting, and processing student and family information. With your support and assistance in using the SERVOS verification process, we can work together in reducing our operational cost and free up valuable time for enhancing our instructional services.
In order to gain access to your child's information, you will receive a letter in the mail. The letter will contain a "snapcode". When you click the SERVOS link, you will then be prompted to enter the snapcode.
