Cynthia Dooley – Music Teacher, Chorus Director
	Music instruction at Georgetown Elementary engages students in learning through songs, movement, playing instruments, listening, analyzing and creating music.  The curriculum is based on the National Standards for Music Education. Music is taught with a hands-on approach that involves the whole child – physically, mentally and emotionally – in the learning process.
	Students in fourth and fifth grades also have the opportunity to participate in the school chorus. The chorus is an instructional class focused on the development of vocal and choral performance skills. The class meets during school hours and performs at least two concerts during the year.  Students must complete an application to be admitted to the class.
