1.  What time may I pick up my child?

Our day ends at 3:45. If you come before this time you will need to stop by the office sign out your child and get a visitor’s sticker.

            

             2.  When are students allowed on campus?

Students who arrive before 8:30 should be enrolled in Pryme Tyme (before/after school program).

Students who eat breakfast may arrive between 8:30-9:00.

There is no supervision for students before 8:30.

 

3. Who do I contact about buses?

First Student provides one bus for Pulaski students.

Hunter Army Airfield provides transportation for those who reside on Post.

4. When is my child tardy?

Students are tardy after 9:10 and must report to the front office to obtain a tardy slip.

 

5. Where is the car rider drop off and dismissal?

Car riders may be dropped off and picked up at the back of the side parking lot. 

Please do not park, drop off, or pick up in the bus circle.

 

6. How much is school breakfast and lunch?

Breakfast: Paid students $.80; Reduced students $.30; Adult $1.50

Lunch: Paid students $1.75; Reduced students $.40; Adult $2.85

Extra Milk: $.55

 

 

7. How do I prepay for my child’s lunch?

The cafeteria accepts cash and money orders for prepayments.  Parents can pay by the week or month.

 

8. How is the best way to contact my child’s teacher?

A written note or email is the best way to contact a teacher. 

Teachers value their instructional time; the contact methods listed avoid an interruption of classroom teaching time.

 

 

          9. How much homework should my child have?

Kindergarten: 10 minutes                     First Grade: 10-15 minutes

Second Grade: 20-30 minutes              Third Grade: 30-45 minutes

Fourth Grade: 30-45 minutes               Fifth Grade:  30-45 minutes

 

10. When do planners/folders and SWORD report go home?

Planners and folders go home each day. They should be signed by a parent and returned.  SWORD reports go home on Friday and should be returned on Monday.

 

11. Where can I get a visitor's pass and why are they needed?

Visitors' passes are available in the front office. Visitors must sign-in in the notebook in the front office and obtain a visitor's sticker. Please make sure that you sign-in and get a sticker whenever you visit the school. This is a safety issue; the school office must be aware of all visitors in the building.

 

12. What are the requirements for the SEARCH program?

The SEARCH program is an enrichment program for academically and creatively talented students.  Students must meet entrance criteria in at least three of the four areas to qualify for SEARCH. The four areas are mental ability, achievement, creativity, and motivation.

 

13. What specials does my child have?

We offer the following specials: art, music, physical education, computers, media instruction, writing, and guidance counseling. Fifth graders also may join band.

 

14. In which grade does band start?

Band is open to all students in fifth grade.
