Welcome to the Robert W. Groves High School webpage.  Here students, parents, community members, and visitors will find information about our school, the home of the Fighting Scottish Rebels!

Groves is a rapidly thriving four year institution, grades 9 through 12, with a 2007 enrollment of approximately 1400 students.  Offering a full academic and tech-prep curriculum, the school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools (SACS).  Some additional features of the school for the 2008-2009 school year include:  Advanced Placement Program (SEARCH) , Joint Enrollment Program, dual track curriculum (College and Technical Prep), and the 9th Grade Academy program.  Groves also boasts a wide range of extracurricular offerings, a full and flourishing athletic department, and the distinguished Junior ROTC program.  In addition, the school offers full inclusion Special Education and houses the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program.

 

Our principal, Mrs. Linda Olson, is committed to the excellence and success of our students and school.  She is joined administratively by Assistant Principals Mrs. Harolyn Cave, Dr. Sharonda Johnson, and Mr. Timothy Cox.  More details on our administration, including contact information, can be found on our “Administration” page.

This year Groves High School is offering  Homework Café!  Homework Café is an exciting opportunity for students needing assistance with projects, research, study skills, and academic tutorials.  All students are welcome to participate.  Students will meet in the Media Center.  The times are:

 

Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday 3:30-5:00
