Below you will find some userful online educational links for research. These resources are also available in the Media Center. Please contact us with any questions.
GALILEO: www.galileo.peachnet.edu
GALILEO is like an online library and is also referred to as an online database. You can do research and find articles to support your research. It is useful for doing research papers and any other project that requires scholarly sources. You are automatically signed in to GALILEO while on school campus. You can use it while off campus but you will need a password. The password changes every few months so ask your teacher or a media specialist for assistance. Two notable databases on GALILEO are SIRS Researcher and Literary Reference Center. Ask a media specialist for more help using this resource.
USA Test Prep: www.usatestprep.com
USA Test Prep is an online resource for students to help them prepare for tests. Often students will work with a specific teacher to do work on USA Test Prep to supplement information learned in class. Ask your teacher or a media specialist for the username and password for this site.
NetTrekker: www.nettrekker.com
NetTrekker is like an online encyclopedia. It can be used to supplement research or to look up information. Choose “Robert W. Groves High School” from the main page to access the site. You can narrow your search by subject or keyword.
Live Oak Public Libraries: www.liveoak.pl.org
The Live Oak Public Libraries are the public library system for Chatham County. You can search their catalog online from this website. We can help you look up materials to use in your research or just for fun and work with the public libraries to get those materials. Ask a media specialist for help.
