AP U.S. History

Students are expected to complete two summer assignments. Over the summer Students will read Brave Companions, by David McCulloughAdditionally students will read chapters 1-17 in the AMSCO United States History ISBN-10: 1567656609.   Students must be prepared to discuss and be tested over both books upon their return from summer vacation.  Optional for summer but mandatory for the first semester is Passion and Principle: John and Jessie Fremont, the Couple Who’s Power, Politics, and Love Shaped Nineteenth-Century America.   Getting ahead on this AP class is essential to your success in the course. Once school starts you will have competition from other courses and limited time to devote to AP American history.
