Nurse's Office
Mrs. Martha Weston is our school nurse. She has worked with SCCPSS since March 13, 2001. She graduated in 1994 with an Associate of Science Degree in Nursing. In 2005, Mrs. Weston graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing. She coordinates Mass screenings for all 6th and 8th grade students yearly and collaborates with all school personnel. She reviews all immunization records to make sure student’s health records are up to date. In addition, she provides us with up to date health information.

Shot Records: It is mandatory that all middle school students provide proof of chicken pox immunity,have 2 MMR's, and have a tetanus (Td) booster within the past 5-10 years. Parents whose children are not in compliance with these guidelines will be notified by letter.
Parents are asked to please update their children's health record by making sure they have proof of chicken pox immunity, 2MMR's and a valid school certificate of immunization.

Give Kids A Smile Day in Savannah!
To kickoff Children's Dental Month, Dentists across the State of Georgia are volunteering their services to children ages 3-18 at Give Kids A Smile Events.
Dental Professionals hope to increase awareness of good oral health, and provide preventative (cleanings) and restorative (fillings) treatment to children.

The GKAS event is Friday, February 5, 2010 at the AASU Dental Hygiene Clinic at Savannah Mall near the rear Dillard's Department Store. No appointments necessary, patients will be seen on a first come-first serve basis.
