 EARLY COLLEGE STUDENTS WIN ESSAY CONTEST

Three Early College students were recognized on Friday, May 22, 2009, by the Chatham County Board of Commissioners for their winning essays. The students participated in an essay contest as part of the Chatham County celebration of National County Government Week (NCGW) during the week of May 3-9, 2009.  The theme for this year’s essay contest was “Greening Our Future.” The students were asked to select a given topic related to the environment.

 Early College Students Collect Blankets and Jackets

Early College Blanket Drive

Early College’s Environmental and Service Club is sponsoring a blanket and jacket drive for people in need this winter.

All donations made will be given to organizations such as the Salvation Army, Inner City Night Shelter, and Grace House.

The drive will run until December 19th in hopes of providing the donations before the holidays. Any donations from the community are welcome and will be accepted between the hours of 7:30am – 3:30pm at Early College (101 Wheathill Road, Garden City).
