Uniform Policy

 

This letter is to clarify the site dress code of Scott Alternative Learning Center. Effective November 16, 2009, all student should be dressed according to the program at Scott.  

 

The following uniform policy has been developed in accordance with the SCCPSS District requirements for school uniforms. Documentation can be found in Rule 14- of the 2009-2010 Student/Parent Handbook for Success on page 14.  The mandatory School Uniforms section of the 2009-2010 Student/Parent Handbook for Success on page 30 the last sentence.

 

PATHWAYS TO SUCCESS: Shirts - 3-button uniform shirt (polo style), Solid colors are gold or navy blue only. Shirts must be of appropriate size and tucked in. Pants- may be khaki, black or navy (no denim or cargo pants).

·        Undershirts must be White

 

SEMESTER PROGRAM: Shirts - 3-button uniform shirt (polo style}, Solid colors for shirts is white only. Shirts must be of appropriate size and tucked in. Pants may be khaki, black or navy (no denim or cargo pants).

·        Undershirts must be White

 

Other dress code particulars:

·         Belt buckles - No larger than a school Id. card not made of hard metal material.   Shorts/Skirts - Colors are khaki, black, or navy blue. May not have leg pockets and may not be more than 2 inches above the knees - No cargo.

·        Jewelry - Necklaces between 16" and 18" -medallions and charms no larger than a US quarter.

·        Earrings - No larger than a quarter (25 cent)

  • Shoes - Must be completely enclosed, heel must not be more than 1.5 inches in height.
  • Hats are not allowed.

·        Hosiery- Solid khaki, white, black, or navy socks or tights. These must be free from designs and natural in color.

·        Outer wear- Must be solid in color - black, navy, grey, and khaki. If worn inside the building outer wear must be left open. Hooded sweatshirts are not permitted.

  • Hooded Sweatshirts are NOT ALLOWED  - See the student Code of Conduct.

 

ITEMS THAT ARE NOT ALLOWED (SHOULD NOT BE WORN):

  • Knit pants
  • Leggings
  • Jogging pants
  • CArgo pants
  • Pants with zippers on the pockets or legs
