Welcome to our School!

Islands Elementary opened its doors in 1992 in a new $6.2 million facility. Our attendance zone includes parts of Whitmarsh Island, Oatland Island, Tybee Island, and sections of east Savannah and Avondale.  Islands Elementary serves students in grades pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.

Islands Elementary has succeeded in providing a quality education for all students in its seventeen years of existence.  Our program includes supplemental instruction in Writing, Math and Spanish for all students in kindergarten through fifth grade as well as an outdoor Math Lab and Wetlands instructional area.  As an American History Specialty School, history instruction is infused throughout the curriculum.
