| Gadsden Performing & Fine Arts Academy provides a rich curriculum that integrates the arts across all subject areas, thus providing a comprehensive spectrum of learning. Instruction is differentiated to meet the learning styles of all the students we serve. Utilizing the Leonard Bernstein’s Artful Learning Sequence, Masterworks of Study are utilized as references for cross-curricular, project-based learning. Students in fifth grade declare majors to prepare them for the feeder middle school of the arts, Shuman. Students are heavily involved in hands-on learning via specialized rooms for the arts, math, science, and technology. Performances are scheduled within the community and grade levels creatively perform learning content at PTA meetings. Gadsden Elementary School has been named a Title 1 Distinguished School, Magnet School of Distinction, and Magnet School of Excellence. Our school has made Adequate Yearly Progress for 5 consecutive years. We are, as our motto declares, "Setting the Stage for Excellence". |
