Our featured Student of the Month representing
the month of August attends Garrison School for the Arts and is in 8th grade. Her
teachers describe her as a student who has grown to be a leader.
She completes all her assignments
on time and assists other students when they need help. She always asks great questions.
She is a high honor roll student who is a member of the Girls’ softball team,
the Art Club, Garrison’s Morning News Team, the Garrison Peer Mentor Program
and the Junior Thespian Society just to name a few. Outside of school she volunteers at the
Animal Shelter, serves as mentor/tutor for small children taking guitar lessons
and is a member of her church choir.
She says “I am not learning, I am
striving for greatness” when describing what motivates her to strive for
academic success.
We are proud to announce the Superintendent’s
Student of the Month for August 2018 is Kristen Leah Horan! Congratulations to our student, her family,
and the faculty and staff of Garrison School for the Arts!
