 Background on Philly Meyers

On January 5, 2018 "Philly" Meyers, the founder of Retirees Unite for the Future, passed away in his home city of Savannah.  Mr. Meyers, a native of New York, a union member of New York City's Local #2, was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, having served his country during the Vietnam War.

Upon his retirement, he moved to Savannah where he created the organization known as R.U.F.F.  His advocacy on behalf of others, especially seniors like himself, inspired many in the Savannah area to want to join in and help ALL of those in need, regardless of race, color, creed, or age.

All completed applications should be postmarked and mailed to the address below NO LATER THAN April 1, 2023.
