The goal of Title I School Improvement is to design and implement a coherent and sustained district wide system of support and process for improvement to assist schools in meeting state and local goals. Title I supports and ensures School Improvement through providing:
- Resources for all Title I schools
- Intensive support for schools
Title I, as a Division of Academic Services, is involved in district initiatives designed to provide support to schools as improvement initiatives are implemented. All district schools are required, by the Georgia Department of Education, to develop and implement an annual School Improvement Plan. Schools that have a designation status are required to specifically address the achievement gap areas identified by the GADOE Division of School and District Effectiveness within the site's School Improvement Plan. Title I and district resources support schools in the implementation of School Improvement Plans.
