Richard R. Mole Auditorium
This state of the art facility is a promise kept to the Beach High School Community. The 600-seat auditorium will offer students and the surrounding community a raised stage, a scene shop, and dressing rooms, as well at sound and lighting systems for theater productions, concerts and performances of all kinds. The stage is equipped with LED lighting to save energy and provide an optimal setting for presentations of all kinds.
The auditorium is named the Richard R. Mole, Sr. Auditorium. Richard Russell Mole, Sr. began his career as a science and mathematics teacher in 1959 at Sol C. Johnson High School, where he later served as a coach and then became principal. In 1976, he joined the staff of Alfred E. Beach High School where he was named principal and served a thirteen-year tenure. During his years as a coach, teacher, and principal, he took his "no-nonsense" approach into the locker room, on the football field and in the classroom. He mentored and modeled character-building skills into each student under his tutelage. Having made an impact on so many students, staff, and community members it is fitting to name the school auditorium in his honor.
