Communications Officers are the critical link between emergencies and response. Serving as the voice of Campus Police, this role ensures that incidents are documented accurately, officers are deployed efficiently, and district facilities remain secure.

• Monitor alarms, security systems, and incidents across all district facilities.
• Dispatch officers and coordinate responses to calls for service.
• Operate GCIC/NCIC systems and maintain detailed incident logs.
• Communicate clearly and calmly via radio, telephone, and 911 systems.
• Assess emergency situations and provide preliminary guidance.
• Maintain alarm, radio, and telephone documentation.
• Collaborate with local 911, police, fire, and EMS partners.
• Serve as essential personnel during emergencies and disasters.

Crossing Guards protect students during arrival and dismissal—when traffic conditions are at their busiest. As a dependable and visible presence, Crossing Guards ensure students safely transition between school and home.

• Direct pedestrian and vehicle traffic during arrival and dismissal.
• Ensure students cross streets safely using established procedures.
• Maintain high visibility and situational awareness at assigned posts.
• Communicate clearly with students, drivers, and staff.
• Monitor traffic hazards and respond quickly to unsafe conditions.
