School Nutrition Program
Meal Prices
Dear Parent/Guardian:
Children need healthy meals to learn. Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools offers healthy meals every school day. Breakfast and Lunch meals are available at no cost to all students at all grade levels. Starting with the 2025-2026 School Year, SCCPSS will use the Community Eligibility Provision(CEP) to provide these meals at no cost to all students.
The CEP. is a non-pricing meal service option for schools and school districts in low-income areas. CEP allows the nation's highest poverty schools and districts to serve breakfast and lunch at no cost to all enrolled students without collecting household applications. Instead, schools that adopt CEP. are reimbursed using a formula based on the percentage of students categorically eligible for free meals based on their participation in other specific means-tested programs, such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
The School Nutrition Program will be completely cashless starting in the 2025-2026 School Year. All Adult Meals, Student/Adult a' la carte items, and additional food purchases must be paid for by adding funds through MySchoolBucks.com. Get more information on setting up that account by clicking the link to Payments in the left sidebar. We encourage families to set up and manage their accounts to ensure students can continue to enjoy optional snack and beverage purchases with ease. Meal and a' la carte item pricing is as follows:
Breakfast:
- Student = Free
- Adult = $2.50
Lunch:
- Student = Free
- Adult entree with sides = $5.25
- Adult A' La Carte Entree = $4.00
- Adult A' La Carte Sides = $1.25
- Student A' La Carte Entree = $2.50
- Student A' La Carte Sides = $1.00
