Our Schools

Mr. Roger Moss, Jr.

On behalf of the Board of Education, I am proud to introduce the 2031 strategic plan, which serves as both a roadmap and a promise to our students, families, staff, and community. This plan reflects our shared responsibility to guide our public school system thoughtfully and decisively into the future—grounded in clear priorities, guided by purpose, and focused unwaveringly on student success.

This strategic plan represents more than a collection of goals.  It is a shared commitment to guiding our school system forward with intention and accountability.  As a Board, we believe that vision must be paired with action, and aspiration must be matched by responsibility.  This plan provides a clear framework for decision-making, thoughtful stewardship of resources, and transparent measures of progress—always focused on what students experience in our schools.

This plan also affirms our belief in the power of innovation and the strength of public education.  It challenges us to think boldly, embrace new ideas, and continuously improve our educational services to prepare students for an ever-changing world.  Just as important, it recognizes that our schools do not succeed in isolation.  The support, trust, and partnership from our community remain essential factors, and we proudly stand alongside families, educators, and community partners who believe in—and invest in—our public schools.

The development of this strategic plan reflects the collective effort and voices of many.  We extend our sincere appreciation to the students, staff, families, and community members who shared their perspectives and helped shape this work.  We are grateful for the dedication of our employees and the ongoing partnership with our families, whose commitment to education fuels our progress.

As we move forward, we are excited to invite the entire community into this work.  Achieving our common goal—student success—requires collaboration, transparency, and shared ownership.  Together, guided by this plan, we will continue to build a strong, innovative, and accountable public school system where every student can thrive at their greatest potential.
