Ethics Hotline
Welcome to the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System’s ethics reporting website hosted by Security Voice.
Before submitting a report to Security Voice, you should make every effort to communicate directly with a school site supervisor, administrative staff or Human Resources to resolve a specific issue. The Georgia Professional Standards Commission has adopted standards that represent the conduct generally accepted by the education profession. The code defines unethical conduct justifying disciplinary sanction and provides guidance for protecting the health, safety, and general welfare of students and educators, and assuring the citizens of Georgia a degree of accountability within the education profession. This code of ethics can be found in the SCCPSS Board Policy Manual under Board Policy GBU, Professional Personnel Ethics.
The District seeks to address all grievances responsively and following legal requirements. In most instances, students, families, and employees are encouraged to attempt to resolve grievances at the school or department level before filing a formal complaint. If concerns are not resolved at the school or department level, students and their families may appeal actions or decisions they believe violate SCCPSS policies or procedures. Board Policy JCE and the supporting regulation guide the grievance process.
When you use the Security Voice website, your comments will remain anonymous, if you choose that option. You may disclose your personal information if you wish. Please note that information submitted could be subject to the Open Records Act.
Before you can submit a report to Security Voice, you will need to create an account. Once you have the credentials to log in, you will be able to file a report following the instructions in the system. After your report is submitted, you will be able to review the report, add comments, respond to questions, and see the resolution of your report. You will need your username and password to log in to respond or follow the progress of your report. No retaliatory action will be tolerated against anyone for reporting or inquiring in good faith about a potential breach in policy or against anyone seeing assistance about the process used to report a suspected breach in policy.
The Ethics Hotline/Security Voice website should not be used in an emergency. If you or others are in immediate danger, call 911 to receive assistance.
Thank you for all that you do to make Savannah-Chatham County Public School System a great organization. Your comments, suggestions, and valuable feedback will have a direct impact on the success of our school district.
