Jenkins High School Senior A’Niyah Browner Wins Hollis Stacy Award

Jenkins High School senior A’Niyah Browner has been named the recipient of the 34th annual Hollis Stacy Award, which recognizes Savannah’s most versatile female high school athlete.

Browner earned the honor following an exceptional senior year in flag football, basketball, and track and field, distinguishing herself as one of the area’s top multi-sport athletes.

In flag football, Browner played a pivotal role in leading Jenkins to the Division II state championship game. She delivered an outstanding season on both sides of the ball, finishing with 1,840 receiving yards and 35 touchdowns. Defensively, she recorded 115 flags and eight interceptions, including four returned for touchdowns. In the state title game against Greenbrier, Browner had three receptions for 124 yards, highlighted by a 73-yard touchdown.

Browner also made significant contributions on the basketball court, earning All-Greater Savannah first-team honors. She averaged 7.9 points, 3.4 steals, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game, helping lead Jenkins to a 25–5 record and a trip to the state quarterfinals.

In track and field, Browner qualified for the Class 3A state meet in both the 200-meter dash and the long jump, further demonstrating her athletic versatility.

She will continue her athletic career at the collegiate level after signing with the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she plans to play flag football.

The Hollis Stacy Award has been presented annually to the area's most versatile and outstanding female athlete since 1993. The award was named after Savannah’s Hollis Stacy, a three-time U.S. Women’s Open champion and 18-time winner of the LPGA Tour who was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2012. Browner’s achievements reflect not only her talent across multiple sports but also her dedication and leadership as a student-athlete at Jenkins High School.
