In addition to the ribbon cutting for the new school facility, the ceremony also featured a dedication and naming of the school’s gymnasium in honor of Dr. Ronald Wayne Bland in recognition of his contributions as a former Public School Teacher and Administrator, as well as his longstanding service to the Bloomingdale community as both a Fire Chief and City Councilman. Members of his family were there to be recognized and unveil a photo of the plaque that will later be mounted on the gymnasium wall.

The new school facility was built on the site of the original elementary school.  The nearly 151-thousand square foot facility will welcome students from Pre-K through 5th Grade.
