UPDATE:
SCCPSS thanks our families who took the time to share feedback on our proposed 2025-26 SY calendar. More than 1400 people filled out the survey and more than 50% shared a positive opinion of the calendar. The calendar was approved with unanimous vote at the February 5, 2025 Regular Meeting of the Board.
ORIGINAL STORY:
SCCPSS has developed an Academic Calendar that we believe meets the needs of our staff, students, and families, and aligns with mandated state assessment timelines.This calendar has had input from the Superintendent’s Professional Senate and other stakeholders. The calendar maintains traditional breaks for students and staff, promotes high quality instruction for students and protects teachers’ professional planning time. It also provides for flexibility in the event of unexpected school closures for weather or other events.
