Over $200,000 has been awarded in Classroom Impact Grants over the last 5 years, serving thousands of students at all grade levels throughout the school system.
Teachers, media specialists, counselors, principals, and assistant principals in all Savannah-Chatham County schools, including Charter Schools, CTAE pathways, and the E-Learning Academy may apply for the competitively awarded grants. Before applying, please read the guidelines carefully to ensure your application is completed accurately and falls within the scope of the foundation's Classroom Impact Grant program.
There is a $500 maximum per teacher for a single project unless the project serves numerous classes or grade levels; if the project is for numerous classes or grade levels, make sure your application specifies that.
There is a $1,000 maximum for teaching teams and media specialists or teachers such as physical education teachers who are requesting grants on behalf of the entire school or several groups or grade levels of students.
Grant applications must be for projects, programs, or purchases that are an integral part of the learning process.
Grant applications will be given priority if they address areas identified as critical need or needing improvement.
Applicants may submit more than one application.
There is no limit on the number of applications a school may submit.
There is no limit on the number of grants or dollar amount of grants the Classroom Impact Grant Committee may award to a school.
Budgets must be itemized and included with your application; applications with missing or non-itemized budgets will be disqualified; do not round-up budget amounts.
All grant recipients must submit an evaluation of the program to the foundation at the end of the grant period or two weeks prior to the close of the school year, whichever comes first. The report should include the number of students served and, if possible, a sample of the outcomes.

Foundation grants should not be viewed as a means of sustaining annual projects and/or purchases.

If you submit a request for a technology-related item: (1) you must complete an online Technology Help Request describing the items you want to purchase and the way they will be used; (2) submit your Technology Help Request in time to receive a response before the grant application deadline of June 19th; (3) upload a copy of your resolved Technology Help Request ticket with your grant application
