Colors: Khaki, Black, Black/Gold Plaid (skirts only)
Shorts, skirts, skorts, jumpers, capri pants, full-length slacks
Bottoms made of cotton or twill fabric
Bottoms should be worn at the natural waist
Clothing shorter than 3-inches above the knee
Cargo-style pants with pockets on the legs
Oversized pants or shorts
Enclosed and fastened
Open-toed or backless shoes
Tights, leggings, hose, or socks may be worn.
Tights and socks must be solid navy, black or white with no design.
Hose without design may be worn.
Tights, leggings, jeggings, and/or spandex worn as an outer garment or pants.
Belts must be worn if pants/skirts have belt loops
Jewelry is acceptable if it is not offensive and does not interfere with the learning environment
No hats, caps, or sunglasses may be worn in the building.
Oversized, inappropriate, or computerized belt buckles
Extreme hair color/style that causes a disruption, or interferes with the learning environment will not be allowed.
Body piercing that causes a disruption, or interferes with the learning environment will not be allowed.
Sweaters, vests, or sweatshirts may be worn over uniform shirts. Sweaters, vests, or sweatshirts must be in school colors.
Coats and jackets must be worn open while in the building.
Hooded sweatshirts that do not open in the front are not allowed at any time.
Bookbags & Handbags
Handbags, purses, pocketbooks, and similar items must be no larger than 8.5 x 11 inches (size of a regular sheet of paper), 3 to 4 inches thick, and must not be large enough to contain a regular-sized textbook.
Clear or mesh book bags, tote bags, backpacks, and athletic bags.
Purses/handbags larger than a sheet of paper
Bookbags/backpacks that are not clear or mesh.
Once distributed, all students should wear their current Groves High School ID badge
No ID badge
