As we continue our focus on literacy, this past Saturday, we welcomed Elementary and Middle School Reading Bowl teams from all over the District here to Godley Station K-8 for the Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl. We had a large crowd representing about 25 elementary, K-8, and middle schools. The students (and their parents!) were super excited to compete. Please join us in celebrating our Godley Station Elementary Reading Bowl Team, who ended the day in Third Place. Our Godley Station Middle School Reading Bowl Team finished in First Place – CHAMPIONS! Please come and see the beautiful trophies our teams won in the main office. We are so proud of our Reading Bowl participants!
The Middle School Reading Quiz Bowl team members Janani Kumar, Durga Kumar, Sanvi Nanjangud, Sachi Patel, Riya Joshi, Kalilah Hewitt, Angalika Clemons, Esma Ezziat, Krishang Tripathi, and Ashlyn Kingsley will compete at the Regional competition in Valdosta on Saturday, February 25th.
