Advancing Design Diversity Target - Six Jenkins Students Participating

Published on:

Six of our students were invited to participate in a one in a lifetime program with Target (yes, the store!) called ADD (Advancing Design Diversity) Target. The program is working with students in LA, NYC, and Savannah, partnered with OTIS, FIT, and SCAD. Each month, students will meet as a large group via Zoom with mentors in various professional design careers. The Savannah students are extra blessed because they will also receive one-on-one mentorship with a designer once per month. The other cities do not get this.

Warriors involved are Beatriz Da Silva Rocha, Sierra South, Carter Ellison, Olivia James, Kayla Lewis, and TaLiyah Davis. They have already met with three of Target's celebrated Black design partners – Carly Cushnie (CUSHNIE), Kalilah Wright (Mess in a Bottle), & Victor Glemaud (IN THE BLK).
