| Meet your teacher!
Hi! I'm Mrs. Lincoln and I am so excited to be your teacher this year. I have been teaching for 16 years and this is my 10th year teaching at Marshpoint/Oatland Island. I am married and have 2 children, both of whom will be attending Kennesaw State this year. We are going to have so much fun this year! I look forward to a wonderful year! |
PreK Class Rules
1. Be a friend to your classmates.
2. Be a good listener.
3. Keep hands and feet to yourself.
4. Raise your hand to have a turn to talk.
5. Follow the directions that teachers give.
We ask that you do not send Bug Spray or Sun Screen
Please apply these items prior to arriving for class each morning. If bug spray is necessary, we recommend spraying on clothing instead of skin.
Board of Education Policy states: The parent is responsible for the application of sunscreen or insect repellent, because of the potential of over application and allergic reaction. Students should not be allowed to bring or apply these items at school or the same reasoning. Like other over-the-counter medication they have the potential of being abused or given to other causing illness.
Please Note: Oatland Island is notorious for red bugs/chiggers. Avoid them by applying bug spray to under garments where elastic meets skin and on socks and shoes.
Is the Nature PreK at Oatland Island open to anyone or can I book a field trip?
If you are a preschool or day care wanting to book a private Pre-K program, you will need to call 395-1510 or click here to speak with our Field Trip Coordinator as the Nature Pre-K is a year-long program and is a part of the Savannah Chatham County Public School System and aligns with their calendar school year.
How can I register for the Nature PreK @ Oatland Island?
The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System has 65 Georgia Lottery funded Pre-K classes. The year-long Pre-Kindergarten programs provide services to age eligible four year olds (must be four years of age on or before September 1 of the school year) residing in Chatham County. A maximum of twenty-two (22) students receive services in each class district wide. More information about the Georgia Lottery funded Pre-Kindergarten Programs can be obtained by going to www.decal.ga.gov. Lottery registration usually begins in February of each year.
If you have any questions about Marshpoint Elementary's Nature Pre-K program at Oatland Island, you can always contact Amanda Drought, the Pre-K Project Director for the Savannah Chatham County Public School System, at (912) 395-1330.
